Biography:         Mooch was part of a farm rescue organized by the Iowa Humane Alliance.  Witty Kitties provided a temporary home for most of the rescued cats, but Mooch obviously needed special care and ended up staying with us permanently.  He had a very severe upper respiratory infection when he first arrived, and we weren't sure he would make it.  His facial deformities make it difficult for him to breathe, and he'll likely always have respiratory problems requiring medical care throughout his life.  He does NOT like nose drops, fluid injections, or anything else that smacks of medical treatment.  He's bitten Jenni more than once as she's gently nursed him back to life.  But otherwise, he is a playful, happy kitty who especially loves to chase after balls.  We feed wet food in the morning on shallow trays, and Mooch has a bad habit of walking all over the tray, right through the food, to find just the right morsels!
He loves to be cradled like a baby, tummy up, in your arms.  We're hoping that as he gets older, his respiratory infections will become less frequent.  For now, he's getting tons and tons of TLC!
