Biography: Ditch was found laying in a ditch near Witty Kitties, unable to move because his rear legs were so frostbitten. The people who found him covered him with a blanket and brought him food, but he just laid there, half in the water and half out, for three days before we were contacted. After a course of antibiotics and some TLC, he recovered fairly quickly from his injuries, and we transferred him to the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center. He was quickly adopted and we thought his story had a happy ending. But unfortunately, he didn't get along with the other cats in his new home, and he was returned to ICACAC, where he stayed for over six months. We agreed to bring him back here to see if we would have better luck at finding a new home for him. Ditch likes being petted, but he does not like to be picked up or carried. He also can be "nippy" if he gets over-stimulated (for example, petting him for too long). He is getting along fine with all the other cats in his room. A home without young children would probably be best for this beautiful stray.
Special Needs: None!
