After he was returned to us by his previous adopter, it didn't take long for Kirsten to convince her mom, Jenni Doll, that Scorsese belonged in their home!  He passed the "dog test" with flying colors, and went to his new digs on 09/01/15.

Biography:         Scorsese is from the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center, where Jenni works every Wednesday.  He was so beat up and sad looking that Jenni just had to bring him back to Witty Kitties.  We plan to nurture him back to his innate handsomeness!  He was pretty mean to us when he first came, scratching and not wanting attention from people.  His nose has a large, but healed, scar where some other animal gashed it open.  One of his ears is off kilter and he had an ulcer on his right cornea.  Jenni removed some tissue and that's why he has stitches in his photos.  The stitches are now out and he's getting less ornery every day.  We now pet him without incident, but he still has an occasional tiff with one or another of his roommates.  Time will heal all wounds, though, and we know his big paws will be used only for walking real soon!  UPDATE:  Scorsese was adopted in June, 2014 and returned to us a year later when his mom decided to go back to school -- she couldn't have pets in student housing.
