Biography:          Amana came from a colony of farm cats and was rescued by Safe Haven of Iowa County.  He was a pitiful sight, at less than 3 pounds and almost 4 months old.  He was scrawny, covered in poop, and unable to use his back legs.  He had ear mites and probably had worms.  After getting neutered, vaccinated, treated for parasites, and tested for FeLV and FIV (both negative), he came to Witty Kitties to see if he would regain any use of his back legs.  Less than a month later, he was chasing balls from one end of his room to the other!!  He is a great example of the cat's ability to heal itself.  Amana's back legs are still a little wobbly, and there's no way to know if he'll ever be totally "normal."  But it is amazing the progress he has made.  He's a sweet little boy who was featured in our Fall, 2016 newsletter.  His wish for a home of his very own came true when he was adopted just in time for Christmas!
