Biography:        Rip walked into his rescuer's yard dragging a leg-hold trap on his left front paw in January, 2009.  They took him to the Muscatine Humane Society, where Dr. Jenni amputated two of his toes, which made him good as new!  (If you look carefully at his photos, you can see he's missing some toes on his left paw.)  No one ever claimed him, but he must have belonged to someone -- he had already been neutered.  Even though he was sweet as can be (not to mention cute!), he sat in his cage for months and no one adopted him.  So Jenni decided to bring him to Witty Kitties in September for a change of pace.  He had gained quite a bit of weight in his haven at Muscatine, and Jenni thought that if he had a chance to run around in our "free-roaming" cat rooms he could burn off a few calories (which he has!).  He LOVES to be picked up and held, and will often paw at your legs until you reach down and grab him.  He's extremely well behaved, travels well, and is a favorite of ours to take to adoption events because he'll let anyone pick him up and hold him.  He's still waiting and hoping...

Special Needs:  NONE!  (except for two missing toes!)
