Biography:         Maddox was a neighborhood stray in the Muscatine area last spring when he lucked out and found the backyard of a kind-hearted soul who gave him food, water, and shelter.  She got him neutered and vaccinated, and planned to continue to care for him as an outdoor cat (she already had 7 of her own indoors!).  But neighbors objected, and last October she took him to the Muscatine Humane Society, where he tested positive for FIV.  After six months there, we finally had an opening.  Maddox loves attention and cuddling and it's hard to believe he didn't get adopted while in Muscatine.  Lucky for him, though, because two of our favorite volunteers immediately fell in love with him and will soon be taking him home!
