Sponsored by Lori & Dan Raleigh, Cedar Rapids, IA, 1/11 - 12/11.

We helped Brando over the bridge on 1/10/13.  He went downhill quickly, most likely due to the leukemia virus itself.  He was the star greeter kitty who caught everyone's eye when they walked in the shelter.  And he proved that feline leukemia kitties can live a good, long life.

Biography:         Brando -- what a big, bad boy!!  We think he's a snowshoe/himalayan mix.  One minute he's asking for ear skritches, the next he's complaining.  Fastest paws in the west, too!  He needs frequent brushing, but doesn't like it.  We try to sneak up on him when he's drowsy to get a few strokes in!  Brando wins the Witty Kitties prize every week for most "hits" on PetFinder.com.   He'd really be a handful for a new family, and would take lots of time and patience to adjust.  He may never be a cuddler or a lap cat, but he'd sure be the most handsome guy in the house!
