Biography:        Gino came into the Iowa City Animal Care and Adoption Center and was found to be FeLV+, so Dr. Jenni decided to make him her "van kitty" for a while.  Jenni, who works at the ICACAC one day/week performing surgeries, enjoyed having the company of a kitten while driving her mobile veterinary van to various locations.  But only a few days later, there was an electrical fire in the van, and Gino was rescued just in the nick of time by Jenni's husband, Torben.  Gino has been living at Witty Kitties ever since.  He smelled like smoke for about a week, and seemed to take a while to start putting on weight, but now he is doing great and is almost all grown up.  He's a very sweet boy, and absolutely beautiful (or should we say handsome?).  As the newspaper article about the fire said, Gino has used up one of his nine lives, but hopefully he'll spend the rest of them in a home of his very own -- he deserves no less!!  (Read more about the fire here.)
