Manny's bone marrow stopped producing red and white blood cells, and after a wonderful, love-filled final weekend with Tim and others, Jenni helped him over the bridge on Memorial Day, 5/29/17. We are heartbroken.

Biography: Manny was a neighborhood cat who was hanging around for several weeks. He was finally trapped, with plans to have him neutered and released. Lo and behold, he tested positive for FIV. It's not good to release an FIV+ cat back into the neighborhood because if he gets into cat fights and bites, he can spread the virus to other cats. So he came to live at Witty Kitties. Initially, Manny lived with one other cat, Matilda, in our reception room, because he was a big, mean bully to most of the other cats in the FIV room. But now he's living in the FIV room and getting along fine with all the other kitties. He also loves people -- he just can't get enough petting! We think he was born without a tail, because there's no evidence of injury. He is such a great big lap cat!
