Sponsored by Maggy Haslett-Tomova and Karen Haslett, Iowa City, IA (06/14 to 06/15), with an extra 7 months (7/15 - 1/16) contributed by his brother Noche, who left us way too soon.
We helped Tuerto over the Rainbow Bridge, to join his brother Noche, on 08/03/17. Over a 10 day period, Tuerto stopped eating, developed a high fever, became anemic, and was just no longer his old self. It was time to say good-bye to this gentle soul.

Witty Kitties: June, 2014 Biography: Tuerto ("one-eyed") came from SAINT in Cedar Rapids. He and his litter-mate brother, Noche, are best pals. Tuerto's left eye ruptured when he was little, and he was having a very tough time recovering from the surgery to remove it. His skin would not heal and was raw and red and kept getting infected. Dr. Jenni worked her magic yet again by giving him a combination of antibiotics. His skin no longer looks like an open wound, and we're hoping that over time all his fur will grow back. Tuerto was pretty shy when he first arrived, but now he's cuddling with the other cats and is happy to be petted so long as you approach him slowly. He's a very sweet boy!
